Thank you for commenting, Carol. The “why” that her questions are rooted in would certainly be a wonderful discovery, but there’s a wonderful little story that does a masterful job at highlighting the beauty of Jesus by Ravi Zacharias called The Lotus and The Cross. It’s an easy but thoughtful read and takes the the logical conclusion some of the concepts that–less thought out–lead some to Atheism instead of to awe of Jesus. Also, here’s a link to a resource page on my mentoring website that may be of help: http://www.leadershipii.com/tools/alicias-articles-essays-and-samples/ Take a look at these resources, see if anything is helpful and then get back with me. Currently, I take everyone through http://www.the7thyear.com as a 52-week experience and I find that it deeply affects all souls be they new to faith or seasoned in faith.

I am praying about mentoring a young woman who has real questions about the existence of God. I have not mentored formally before and am looking for some tips on how to get started. I want this young woman to feel comfortable and open to meeting and sharing. I saw the video clip about 3 mentoring mistakes which was great, and I read on your website that you often use an inventory at the start of a new mentoring relationship. I could not find a copy of that on your website. Is that something you would be willing to share with me If there are other resources you would recommend please do so. I am very interested in great resources.
thanks so much!
A 7th Year Graduate 🙂
Carol
