One of the many things that stood out to me within her book is that the Lord NEVER wastes any of our time – even if we may feel we’re “on pause” from fulfilling our dreams. He, in actuality, is lovingly protecting us and growing us – as we look to Him, trust Him, and rest in Him. There’s ALWAYS a greater purpose in any waiting!

In fact, this book has reminded me, once again, that being hidden away in Christ is not just about getting through a challenging season. But, even more so, it’s about cultivating a “moment-by-moment hiddenness mindset” – where we humbly and gratefully position our hearts and incline our ears to follow His will and Word always. This is a beautiful expression of our love and worship for Jesus!

After being formally trained in ministry and involved in ministry for many years, there’s no doubt in my mind that Dr. Alicia Britt Chole has been “Set Apart” to help people see God’s love and purposes for their lives. In fact, for those who sense God’s call on their lives, I really feel this book can be a very important “Guiding Light” for anyone desiring to enter ministry, or who already is in ministry, or who has retired from ministry.

Dr. Chole truly is one of the BEST communicators I’ve ever read or seen. Whether it be through her writing, her teaching, her public speaking, or her on-camera poise – she has indeed been gifted of the Lord!

Daniel, your email meant so very much to me. Thank you for sharing your journey and for opening a window into how God has graciously used Anonymous to speak to you. Writing the book was a rich experience for my soul, but hearing how God is using it…is beyond words. Thank you!

“But God,” or in this case, “But this book inspired by God.” You’re reading the words of someone who hasn’t read an entire book from beginning to end since 4th grade’s “Where the Red Fern Grows” project. I absolutely hated reading, that is, until this book was gifted to me. The circumstances under which it was given to me in itself is a miracle, but I’ll spare you. Let’s just say it was divine appointment; the giver didn’t know me and I didn’t know her. She just sensed my spiritual wandering and stumbling around aimlessly. But the book…Mrs. Chole has wholly encompassed my every emotion, answered or at least soothed my questioning heart, and provided ample tools to fight the enemy in times of being told, “You’re a failure,” “God doesn’t care about your dreams,” “God has forgotten about you,” and of course, “You’re patience is in vain.” Am I still beaten, broken, and barren after reading this book For sure. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t. However, I have a better understanding of why. More importantly, I have a better understanding of what it’s going to produce and who it’s going to help. Thank God for turning a poetic atheist into a eloquent author and beacon for the light of God. I’m forever grateful and changed because of her and her Holy Spirit-inspired work.
