Opportunity dances beside injustice. Shameless waste lives within mocking distance of abject poverty. Real Life is really complex. Yet, we often say that the gospel--the good news about God--is simple (as though simple were a synonym for accessible).

Is the gospel simple Perhaps. But God Himself never has been, and never will be, simplistic. He neither dilutes discrepancy or ignores complexity. And I really like that about God.
